Let’s bring the community together

to make this center a reality

Learn more about High Ridge Community Center

From YMCA to High Ridge Community Center

After Metropolitan YMCA of Chicago closed the almost 70-year-old High Ridge center in 2020, people from our community gathered together to create the High Ridge Coalition, an Illinois not-for-profit. We started exploring other options to save our beloved community center.

With the help of Illinois legislators, we have procured a quarter-million dollars in state funding so we can move forward to construct a new community center that includes a competition-sized pool. We are officially a not for profit organization so we can acquire more funding.

We need YOU to be part of our project -- to spread the word of our new High Ridge Community Center, expanded with new programs and opportunities to meet the needs of our diverse community and to share our vision.

Activities for everyone

While our programs are currently on hold until our community center is in progress, our center will have programs across the board. From swimming to art, we will have something for everyone to enjoy.
